Description
HOW IT WORKS:
Most eyelash technicians are familiar with cyanoacrylate, the active ingredient in most eyelash adhesives. It is extremely effective in creating extensions with long-lasting retention. However, the toxic fumes are irritating and harmful to both eyelash technicians and their customers, and prolonged exposure to cyanoacrylate eventually causes many people to develop an allergy.
Cyanoacrylate cures in the presence of moisture. Moisture in the air cures the adhesive from the outside in, which means that the innermost layer takes longer to cure, taking up to 24 hours.
With traditional water curing methods, the process starts at the outer layer, which means that moisture is trapped inside the adhesive. Many eyelash technicians do not realize that this leaves the surface of the adhesive porous, causing a small amount of fumes to be emitted even after curing is complete.
Superbonder is formulated to work the opposite way: it mixes immediately with the cyanoacrylate and begins curing from the inside out. All moisture is pushed to the surface, causing the bonding point of the adhesive to contract and hug the natural flange more tightly, improving retention by up to 30%.
Superbonder also seals the surface of the adhesive, trapping vapors rather than allowing them to continually seep in, as with traditional water curing. As a result, customers can enjoy their new extensions with clear, bright eyes instead of red, watery eyes, and the risk of developing an allergy to cyanoacrylate is significantly reduced.
Another important benefit of Superbonder is that the increased elasticity of the formula allows the lashes to retain more natural movement and be more resistant to breakage.
